Our workshops explore some of the challenges that can occur after surgery. These workshops are not just about weight management, they also create an opportunity to focus on you and your well-being.  By focusing on a holistic approach to tackling the challenges that present themselves post-op, the workshops present a good opportunity to be heard, within a safe setting, with other people who have had similar experiences.

Mindful Eating After Bariatric Surgery

In this half day workshop, we will introduce you to some mindfulness techniques and mindful eating practices, all designed to enhance your health and well-being.

This is not a diet and you will not leave with a set of "rules" about what not to eat.  Instead, you will learn or re-learn how to notice and respond to different types of hunger, both physical and emotional.  You will discover how to eat the foods you enjoy without overeating and ultimately how to look after yourself with kindness and compassion.

When the honeymoon is over: refocusing on what works after bariatric surgery

We know that sometimes old habits can creep back and we need to make time to refocus. This workshop will provide an opportunity to consider what we have stopped doing that once was helpful and to understand our barriers.
